Mar Osthatheos Benyamin (1949-2004) was a Metropolitan of the Simhasana-Patriarchal Churches & Institutions in India, belonging to the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church. He was known for his efforts to protect the Church during a period of schism and for his simplicity and accessibility to the common man. He passed away on June 17, 2004
